Hawzah News Agency- In a message, Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Hujjat al-Islam Ale Hashim, Friday Prayer Imam of Tabriz City in East Azerbaijan Province.

The text of Grand Ayatollah Jafar Sobhani's condolence message is as follows:

In the name of God

To God we belong and to God we return

I offer my condolences to Hazrat Wali Asr (may God bless him and grant him peace) and the dear people of Azerbaijan province on the martyrdom of Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Muhammad Ali Ale Hashem.

A nobleman who embraced martyrdom by serving Islam and his country, and having a prophetic nature, he was so much in the hearts of the people that everyone was fascinated by his behavior, and he constantly worked to solve the needs and problems of the people and to raise the scientific level of the seminaries of the region. He was diligent, and his recently published penmanship was a sign of his cultural spirit.

I offer my condolences to his honorable father Ayatollah Agha Seyyed Muhammad Taqi Ale- Hashem and the deceased family and I ask God Almighty to grant him the divine reward in the hereafter.

A helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian crashed in a dense forest area in East Azarbaijan on Sunday.

The helicopter's passengers, including Ebrahim Raisi, Hossein Amir-Abdullahian, Iran's East Azerbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to East Azarbaijan Province, along with several other people were martyred in the incident.
